I haven't upgraded my pc for 3 years and 4 months now. Breaking the 3-year cycle which I usually follow but I think my wait was somewhat worthit. Intel announced 24 new processors on their new Sandy Bridge architechure which is supposed to be faster, with GPU built-in (didnt they already have that in the last one?) or something. But theres a buzz with the new chips and reviews have been positive.

Looking at the benchmark for i5 2500K, it was quite impressive. Can hit 4.2ghz on stock cooler? Dum dum dum.

PC are now quite cheap compared to a few years ago. I can get a decent setup for around 1800 or 1500 excluding chassis.

My new setup will be:

Intel i5 2500K - rm698
GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD3 - rm470
2x2gb - rm140
Some PSU - rm150
Cooler Master CM 690 Advanced II White - rm300
HDD 640GB - rm110

Rm1868 or rm1568 if I decide not to take a new chassis. I haven't changed chassis for over 7 years. :(
